Atelier Penny James is the work of Mackenzie Dunham, an independent craftsman producing fine leather goods by hand in Vancouver.
Production is deliberately limited. The work is unhurried and meticulous — in the tradition of French leathercraft.
For Mackenzie, leathercraft is an art, and he is the artisan. Atelier Penny James is a byproduct.
He draws from the same principles he admires in design, music, film, and architecture: that the most timeless work is often the most restrained, executed without compromise.
